Mark Gurman weighed in on the matter on X, with the biggest takeaway from the post being "Apple event invites never leak in advance. That would essentially be impossible".

Well, it would seem Mark Gurman was right. Majin Bu’s social media post has been largely debunked now that Apple has officially announced the date for its next event—September 9, 2024, at 10 a.m. PT.
