They appear to be. As long as they state manufacturer WowWee, I believe you are protected by Walmart if they turn out to be &quot;FunnyMonkeys&#39; &lt;--- actual name of fake fingerling. Same with the other sites such as eBay and Amazon. I have a few on eBay. When in doubt, ask the seller directly via email then you have proof of them telling you it&#39;s real if you indeed receive a fake one.

I purchased two of the blue Boris Fingerlings from this site.  I received two blue Happy Monkey's.  They are fakes.  I have contacted the company for a refund and have not heard from them yet.

NO! Received the two I ordered and they are not authentic WowWees. False advertising on the site as it states they are WowWee. They are from a third party seller, bluelans, and cannot be retutned to Walmart.

No!  The one I received was a knock off - called finer monkey.  There was nothing on the package that said Wow Wee. 
 Walmart was terrific and refunded my purchase. They said they were having problems with the market place vendor

They are NOT authentic!!! Reported to Walmart.  Mine arrived as Baby Monkey. Beware!!!! If they are real they would say Fingerlings by WowWee, clearly on the front and mine did not, script and box looks almost identical.

They are fake can't believe Walmart let's them be sold through their site. Can't return them to Walmart  waste of money. Lost a lot of confidence in Walmart

I got one and it was fake, they tried to tell me they couldn't take it back but in the end they did take it back and gave me a gift card.  Customer satisfaction.  Take it back and ask for someone higher up!

This is not an authentic Fingerling.  It is called a Finger Monkey - looks the same, but it is not the item ordered.  I do NOT recommend ordering this

I ordered two Sophie's on 11/07/2017 and both are authentic and say Fingerlings. Make sure when you order that it says "sold and shipped by Wal-Mart" and not some third party seller so you don't risk buying a fake like some of the other commenters have mentioned.

No they  are cheap knock offs! So disappointing!

I received 2 yesterday and another today and they ARE authentic WOWWEE fingerlings.  The listing must say sold and shipped by Walmart.  Walmart's price is $14.84.  If the price is different and doesn't saw sold and shipped by Walmart, then it is a fake.

No! I ordered a wowee brand authentic fingerling and got a “fun monkey” two months later! Not what I ordered!

No!! They are fake.  They come in a box and not a plastic package.  The box looks real but the red flag for mine was the box described the wrong monkey inside.  So disappointing.  I didn't realize I paid over $20 each :(

We bought 2 on Amazon. The packaging is different. It has several languages printed on the box. Slightly different that the American ones. The ones we purchased from Walmart are authentic.

You have to buy them direct from Walmart and not a third party seller.  Then if you get one that looks fake you can return it to your local Walmart.

The one I got was called a Fun Monkey, not a Fingerling. And there was a mistake with the wording on the back. You can also compare it to a picture of one online maybe?

The real Fingerling Monkeys are by WowWee brand.

I do not think you can tell. When I ordered mine from here, it was advertised as a WowWee Fingerling, but I received a Fun Monkey.

The best way to find out is to go to YouTube before you buy and find out what you are dealing with because even WalMart and Amazon themselves have been hit by scammers...and I'm not talking 3rd party sellers.  We are all vulnerable these days.  There are some excellent videos on YT about all kinds of faked toys...you wouldn't believe it if you didn't see it!  Some are as subtle as not having their eyelashed painted on.  It gets worse from there.  Good luck!

Not all 3rd party sellers are bad.  Just pay attention.  Most 3rd party sellers get their items from WM.  Many sell them on WM.  Some ways to tell if a 3rd party seller is risky or not is to look at their listings.  What's their estimated delivery time?  If it's taking longer than a week, chances are it's coming from China.  How is their grammar?  Are they missing words that Americans would not normally miss in normal conversation, or is their punctuation placed wrong?  Send them a message and see how they respond.  And most importantly, look at their feedback
