 The PlayStation 4 is part of the eighth generation of video game consoles from Sony. The hardware has been developed from scratch and centers around a custom AMD x86-64 core chip. This move away from the PS3 cell architecture enables easier game development which was a headache for developers previously. Dedicated custom chips for video, audio and background tasks are also included together with 8GB of super fast DDR5 memory and Blu-ray disc drive. A new DualShock 4 controller is included which features a new multi-touch pad, improved trigger buttons and analog sticks. A new 'share' button enables the user to quickly scan and tag the last few minutes of gameplay to share images and videos with friends on social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and the PlayStation network. Social spectating is also encouraged by enabling users to broadcast their games live to friends who in turn can make comments or jump into a game to help.  An app for Apple and Android tablets and smartphones will allow them to interact with the PS4 such as viewing additional game content whilst playing, watch a friends game in a live stream and purchase new content whilst away which will be immediately downloaded ready for when you return. The PS4 also features a 'suspend mode' which preserves the current game session in a low power state which enables the immediate return to a game at the exact point in which you stopped without any boot up time.  The PlayStation Network has also been improved for online multiplayer gaming with additional games, music and video services. Cloud technology will enable the immediate playing of game previews and in the future the entire catalog of over 3000 PS3 titles. An additional camera can be added at a later date which enables motion tracking and generating video and photo images. In the box you will get:- - PlayStation 4 Console
